MedVenture Helping Haiti
MedVenture Employees, along with matching funds from the company, are sponsoring a Water Filtration System to help the people of Haiti through the Louisville based non-profit organization Edge Outreach. Edge Outreach works with individuals and organizations to offer training in sustainable water solutions, hand pump repair, vision clinics and local humanitarian efforts. Edge Outreach also builds mini water treatment plants, installs electric pumps in the field, and repairs hand pumps. The World Health Organization says that 80% of all sickness in the world is attributable to unsafe water and inadequate sanitation.
