Key Responsibilities Medical device design and development - Lead and support the application of engineering knowledge to design and develop new medical devices, and modifications or enhancements to existing devices - Determine the feasibility of concepts and determine specific design inputs and requirements for new products. - Provide support and/or perform risk analysis and reliability activities - Provide design support to include solid modeling, specifications and tolerances. - Assist and/or perform design verification and validation testing to include protocol development and testing. - Lead efforts in our intellectual property position via invention and patent applications. Documentation - Provide proper documentation for design tasks to support FDA Quality System requirements, other regulatory bodies and customer requirements. Program Management • - Work closely with Program Managers and the Program Team to assure you and the Team meet customer requirements for speed, quality, innovation and cost. • - Work closely with Program Managers to build development schedule, budget, and provide ongoing oversight of design team performance. • Business Development • - Work closely with Program Managers and Business Development professionals to prepare and support new business quote activities, deliver technical presentations, and meet with potential customers. • Leadership • - Provide design engineering leadership to program teams to assure we best meet customer requirements • - Coach, develop, and manage design engineers and process technicians who support design development efforts on your programs Position Qualifications Education - BSME (or related discipline) Experience - Minimum of 8 years related experience, preferably in the medical device field with a noted progression of technical and managerial success. Minimum of 12 years experienced may be considered without degree. Leadership – Evidence of success in leading and working with internal teams. Customer service – Experience in dealing successfully with external customers and accountability for customer service successResumes
